Fear Of Failure
Have you ever put something off because of your fear of failure?
If so, don’t worry as this is one of the most popular reasons why people don’t start on their dream.
We can change our mindset towards this and challenge ourselves to try, there is only one way to fail and that is to not start. Everything else is just another way it doesn’t work.
Many of us are afraid of failing, at least some of the time, whether that be at work, in our relationships, parenting and lots more. But fear of failure, also called atychiphobia, is when we allow that fear to stop us doing the things that can move us forward to achieve and pursue our goals and dreams.
But what if we was to change that? Imagine if we could get past that fear of failure and create a positive habit. A habit were we say ” yes I can !”, and ” yes I will !” How amazing would that be?
The good news is, we can overcome this. To do this takes positive commitment and and a mental attitude of, (” it’s ok to fail “), I will just find another way to succeed.
Tackle your fear
Think of a situation in which you have a real fear of failure. Now visualise yourself hitting an obstacle, allow yourself to feel the fear, and then see yourself moving forward. Next, spend a few minutes planning how to overcome whatever obstacles may stand in your way. Then see yourself succeeding despite these obstacles.
This is just one way we can practice overcoming our fears.
