First Aid Courses
Defibrillator & CPR first aid training course
A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. A person’s chance of survival falls by about 10%* for each minute that passes without defibrillation.
The risk of death can be reduced if you have a defibrillator in your location and know how to use it. If you already have a defibrillator situated near by, it’s important that you know where it is.
Every second matters and this course will give you the confidence to act quickly and effectively. Most importantly, the course will also teach defibrillator operators how to perform effective CPR.
Our first course is now complete, more to come soon.
Why attend this course
AEDs (automated external defibrillators) are proven to save lives and are therefore an invaluable addition to health and safety for all. Once one is installed in your location, we highly recommend people know how to use it which is why we are offering this course.
On our course you will learn the essential skills that an AED operator needs and gives students the confidence to know what to do in an emergency.
Defibrillators are very simple to operate as they have built in voice instructions on how to use them and no previous training is required to attend this course.
Who should attend this course
If you are interested in furthering your emergency first aid skills, or already take part in an organised first aid scheme, then this course would suit you. If you are a health care worker then this course will serve as a basic module.
No previous first aid knowledge is needed to attend an AED course.
